I was thinking of buying this, but none of the music i've heard made with this has sounded much like traditional chiptunes that you would hear in a NES game. Is it possible to make more normal chiptune music with this, and can someone give me an example of it? Like, is it possible to recreate the Super Mario Bros. music with it?
Also, does anyone know of any different NES music cartridges? I would love for there to be something like LSDJ for the NES.

midiNES is probably one of the most awesomest inventions ever - no kidding -
btw - it shouldn't be too difficult to do a 'normal' chiptune on it. Using it you can probably make the most authentic Super Mario Bros. recreation - but with all things - give yourself some time to learn the ins and outs of it.

Well i'm glad it's atleast possible to make more normal chiptunes, but I don't like the idea of having to hook it up to the computer and use Fruity Loops or something, i'd much rather a stand-alone cartridge. All things considered, i'll probably still end up buying it.
